I have been a psychotherapist in private practice since 1986. I see a wide range of clients – couples, teens, and adults. My specialty is helping individuals who suffer from depression and anxiety disorders.
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy that has as its focus an in-depth exploration of early relationships and how they can impact the present. In terms of approach, this type of therapy tends to focus on the interpersonal relationship between the therapist and client and is eclectic, utilizing different techniques from different schools of psychotherapy.
I have an MA from Columbia University in Social Work and an MA from the Jewish Theological Seminary in Jewish Studies. I received my BA in Literature from U.C. San Diego. I am the proud father of three children and have been happily married since 1986.
What is Therapy Like?
Therapy can vary greatly depending on the individual and the goals of the clinician and the patient. Generally, I will want to discuss the event that lead you to seek therapy in the first place and move on to identifying more specific goals for the patient, working toward resolution.
